Brewers Tusker FC recorded their first win of the season in emphatic fashion by beating Western Stima 5-2.
Tusker first scored through David Majak from the penalty spot in the 18th minute only for Stima to also get their own spot kick in the 24th minute. Goalkeeper Samuel Odhiambo stepped up and drew his side level.
Robert Matano and his boys got their lead restored in the 33rd minute courtesy of David Majak but Stima responded almost immediately in the 37th minute through custodian Samuel Odhiambo.
Jackson Macharia got Tusker’s 3rd of the day in the 39th minute and later got a brace in the 44th minute to give the Brewers a commanding 4-2 lead heading into the break.
In the second half, Eugene Asike gave Tusker their 5th goal of the day and despite efforts by Stima to try get something from the game, it was the Brewers who had a field day, bagging three important points in the process.
Sharks-Bidco Share Spoils
Elsewhere at the Utalii Grounds, Bidco United held Kariobangi Sharks to a 2-2 draw.
Bidco took an early lead through Nelson Chietha in the 6th minute but Eric Kapaito drew his side level in the 27th minute.
In the second half, Pitsone Mutamba got his name of the scoresheet in the 57th minute to give newbies Bidco the lead. They could however not take home all the three points as Sharks earned a share of the spoils through Patrick Otieno in the 80th minute.
