Erick Kapaito bagged a brace to help Kariobangi Sharks beat Sofapaka FC 2-1 at the Wundayi Stadium in Taita Taveta.

Sofapaka took an early lead courtesy of a 4th minute goal by Eli Asieche from the penalty spot.

Kapaito then took charge of things and got on the score sheet in the 38th and 63rd minute to take his tally of the season to 5 goals. Only Rupia of Leopards (6) has scored more than him.

With the win, Sharks are 3rd with 8 points, 4 behind league leaders KCB who have 12 points.

Elsewhere at the Kasarani Stadium, Wazito FC and Ulinzi Stars shared the spoils after playing to a 0-0 draw. With the result, Wazito is 6th on the log with 5 points as soldiers Ulinzi are rocked bottom but with two games at hand.

This was Ulinzi Stars’ second game of the season and Wazito’s second consecutive draw.

Millers Nzoia Sugar and Mailmen Posta Rangers played to a 1-1 draw at the Sudi Stadium.

Goals from Joseph Mbugi and Erick Otieno helped both teams get a point a piece.
