Football Kenya Premier League side Wazito FC has parted ways with head coach Fred Ambani. The Aidos Kuneen sponsored side has also cut ties with assistant coach Salim Babu and goalkeeper trainer Elias Otieno.

The recent developments come just days after Wazito’s 5-1 friendly win over Narok combined in a friendly match that also served as the club’s official ‘launch’ of their new home ground; Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok.

Ambani joined the club for a second stint and took over from Stewart Hall back in August. Babu on the other hand joined from Western Stima where he was the head coach.

The two were expected to lead Wazito into the new season as the side looks to put in a better show in the league next season.

Wazito has roped in 15 new players with Kevin Kimani, Vincent Oburu and Bonface Omondi some of the notable arrivals.

The club also released 14 players in a bid to boost it’s playing unit.

The announcement of the appointment of a new technical bench is expected in due course as details as to why Ambani and his team has been shown the door remain scanty.

This is not the first time Ambani is being sacked by Wazito. He has previously been shown the door together with the then technical Director Stanley Okumbi and Assistant Coach Hamisi Mohammed.
