Kenyan champions Gor Mahia went down 2-1 in a CAF Champions League match against Rwandese side APR in Kigali.

The Military men went in front in the 8th minute through Olivier Seif Niyonzima but K’Ogallo equalized in the 30th minute through Geoffrey Ochieng.

APR then took the lead in the 62nd minute courtesy of an own goal from Andrew ‘Roma’ Juma with that goal enough to give APR the bragging rights ahead of the return leg next week in Nairobi.

The match also saw Jacques Tuyisenge who started from the bench, face his former side as he came on in the 56th minute.

Should either side win on aggregate, they will meet the winner between El Nasr and Belouizdad in the 2nd preliminary round.
