Harambee Stars head coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee believes that the National men’s team still has a good chance of booking a World Cup 2022 slot.

Stars have had an underwhelming campaign so far, drawing it’s first two games against Uganda and Rwanda and sit second in Group E on 2 points.

Despite the recent results, coach Mulee believes his charges still have what it takes to make it to Qatar come 2022.

“Looking at both sides having not won their first game, we came to Rwanda and collected a point, it is tight but we are still in the race, the race for the World Cup has just begun so we are still on, it’s only two games played, we go to Mali for the money game and that that will determine where we go,” Mulee told the media after the 1-1 draw in Rwanda.

“The game against Mali and Uganda will also determine a lot but with two points from two games it’s not so bad I mean we could have liked to have three points, we face Mali in back to back games,” he added.

Stars returned to the country on Monday, September 6, 2021 with all attention now shifting to the Mali clash in October 2021.
