Kenyan international Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma scored for Swedish side AIK in their league match against IFK Gothenburg as they ran out 3-1 winners in a match played on Monday night at the Friends Arena in Stockholm.

Marcelo found the back of the net in the 33rd minute after a brace from Nabil Bahoui gave AIK a 2-0 lead.

Gothenburg pulled one back through Simon Them in the 25th minute.

With the win, AIK is top of the Allsvenskan on 40 points after a round of 19 games. Michael Olunga’s former side Djrugardens is 2nd on 38 points while Joseph Okumu’s former side IF Elfsborg is 3rd on 36 points.

Up Next for Marcelo and AIK is a trip to Kalmar FF, the side that signed Tusker FC striker David Majak. The match will be played on Thursday, September 23 from 8 PM EAT at the Guldfågeln Arena.
