Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has confirmed the appointment of Tusker FC assistant coach Charles Okere as the head coach of Harambee Starlets.
“Football Kenya Federation appointed Charles Okere as the Harambee Starlets head coach” read an official statement by the federation.
“He will be assisted by Godfrey Oduor who is KCB’s assistant coach and Mildred Cheche who until her appointment was part of the KCB technical bench”.
“Coach Okere, whose appointment takes effect immediately, will replace David Ouma who has parted ways with the Federation on mutual consent”.
Okere will lead the team out to Zambia for a friendly match on April 24 as the it begins its journey to qualify for the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations which will also double up as a qualifier to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
