Francis Kimanzi has resigned as Harambee Stars head coach. According to Football Kenya Federation through CEO Barry Otieno, the former Mathare United coach together with a part of his backroom staff have left the national team by mutual consent.

Other departing members are: Assistant coach Zedekiah Otieno and goalkeeper trainer Lawrence Webo.

FKF has wished the trio well and thanked them for their “dedication and unrivalled professionalism which has strengthened Kenya’s chances of qualifying for AFCON 2022 final tournament”.

The football governing body is expected to announce the appointment of a new coach and technical bench soon.
