Defending Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have intensified training ahead of their match against Nairobi City Stars on Sunday, May 16.

Gor was initially set to take on Wazito Fc but following changes to resumption dates, they will now face ‘Simba wa Nairobi’.

“We host City Stars on Sunday, May 16 in the rescheduled league fixtures after our tie against Wazito that was set for tomorrow ( Wednesday) was pushed to a later date to allow time for planned Covid-19 tests by league organizers” read a statement by K’Ogallo.

25 Gor Mahia players and 10 officials are set to be tested on Tuesday before the league can officially resume in accordance with the Ministry of Health and FKF Covid-19 protocols.

Ahead of their upcoming games, Gor Mahia players have been training hard as they look forward to registering better results after a disastrous start to their league campaign that see them lie 7th on 22 points, 14 points behind leaders Tusker FC.
