Gor Mahia’s sporting director Lordvick Aduda has confirmed that the club is working on getting clearance from Confederation of African Football (CAF) to enable it admit fans to the stadium for their upcoming continental assignment against Congo’s Otoho d’Oyo.

Gor will host Otoho at the Nyayo National Stadium after getting clearance from CAF to use the venue on Monday.

CAF had earlier banned the use of the stadium but later gave Gor, who were planning to host the game in Tanzania the greenlight to use it.

“CAF approved our request to temporarily use Nyayo Stadium. We are now working on fulfilling requirements to get clearance for fans to attend our CAF match against Otoho. We will update on progress” said Aduda in statement shared on Gor’s socials.

K’Ogallo beat Sudan’s Al Ahly Merowe 3-1 in the first leg of their 2nd Preliminary round clash in Egypt. The Mark Harrison coached side then easily made it to the final round after Merowe failed to honour their second leg clash that was set for the Nyayo Stadium.
