Days after his management company DBA Africa parted ways with him, African 100m record holder Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala will now have to seek legal services elsewhere after SNOLEGAL Sports & Entertainment Law ended their association with him on September 7, 2021.
The law firm confirmed in an official statement shared on it’s social media platforms that it will no longer be offering legal and advisory services to Omurwa.
The law firm has also ceased offering Reputation Management, Intellectual Property Management and PR & Communications services to Omanyala.
According to SNOLEGAL, they helped set up initial communications and PR channels in mediating and negotiating for fair and meaningful sponsorship opportunities for Omurwa.
“We made a unilateral decision to cease representing him and we have not been involved in his decision-making since then. We commend our team for the tireless work they have done for Ferdinand which continues to bear fruit.
“We are particularly proud of our efforts in correcting false or defamatory narratives in the media about Ferdinand’s past Anti-Doping Rule Violation, in the high-level lobbying which led to Ferdinand’s admission into the Olympics team,” read the press release.
“However, we also understand when it’s time to leave in order to allow our former client the space to grow and take charge of his own destiny,”
“We continue to celebrate Ferdinand’s progress and successes and will always take pride in the strides he makes for himself and for the larger Kenyan sprints community”.
