Talented KCB winger James Mazembe believes his new side has all it takes to lift the FKFPL title come the end of the season.

The bankers finished 2nd in the 2021/21 season on 62 points, 3 behind eventual champions Tusker FC and suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Gor Mahia in their first match of the 2021/22 season.

Despite the defeat, Mazembe is of the opinion that KCB is the best place for him to achieve more in the Kenyan football space.

“My objective is to help KCB win their maiden title this season. I can only achieve this by stepping on the gas peddle to net more goals and provide more assists,” Mazembe told The Star.

Mazembe also has his sights set on breaking into the National team after missing out on coach Engin Firat’s final list for the Mali assignment. Harambee Stars will take on Les Aigles in a World Cup qualifier match on Thursday, October 7, 2021,10 pm at the Grande Stade d’Agadir in Morocco.

“It’s now upon me to work harder so that I can be considered for a first team role in the next assignment. I’m glad I at least made it to the provisional squad,” said Mazembe.

Mazembe scored two goals and provided 11 assists in the 2020/21 FKFPL season with Kariobangi Sharks.
