Nairobi City Stars head coach Sanjin Alagic has hinted that his team will make moves in the current transfer window.

According to the Football Kenya Federation, the mid-season transfer window will open on January 25 and run up to March 1.

With Simba wa Nairobi currently winless in five games, coach Sanjin has stated that his side will have to make a number of changes to the playing unit as they aim for better results in the upcoming games.

“We shall see (about transfers), to be honest we do not have problems only in attack. We have to strengthen the midfield and defence too and we are looking at some players. It all depends on the situation in the market and we also need a player that will be a good fit for the team,” he said.

City Stars last game against soldiers Ulinzi Stars ended 1-1 and coach Sanjin feels that his side did not make good use of the numerous scoring opportunities it got.

“I am not happy at the score-line honestly; we had a lot of good scoring opportunities in the first half and second half but even after dominating we couldn’t score and it is an issue for me because this is happening in many games now” he said.

“We have lost a bit and we are somehow unlucky in our matches and it is also hard in Kenya because many teams are very defensive,” he added.

City Stars will next take on Sofapaka. They are currently 7th on 10 points while Sofapaka is 13th on 7 points.
