Kenyan international Michael Olunga grabbed a brace to take his season tally to 21 goals he helped his side Kashiwa Reysol beat Andreas Iniesta’s Vissel Kobe in a J.League1 Match played at the Sankyo Frontier Kashiwa Stadium.

Olunga gave the Kashiwa based side the lead in the 20th minute with a fine header. His side then got it’s second through Ataru Esaka who also got a brace.

Olunga got his second of the day in the 44th minute after pouncing on a rebound. Ataru Esaka got Kashiwa’s fourth goal in the 52nd minute and from here it looked as game over for Vissel Kobe.

This was however not the case as they managed to get two goals courtesy of Junya Tanaka (60′) and (75′). The first goal was courtesy of a fine assist from Iniesta with the former Spain International also getting his name on the scoresheet from the penalty spot in the 87th minute.

Kashiwa then had Shunki Takahashi sent off deep into injury time.

Vissel Kobe tried to push for an equalizer but it was Olunga’s side that had the last laugh as they held on to take all the three points.

Saturday’s win now mean Kashiwa is 6th with 36 points while Vissel Kobe is 9th with 32 points.

Up Next for Reysol is a game against Urawa reds before travelling to bottom placed Shonan Bellmare.
