Gor Mahia striker Benson Omalla is back in the country from Sweden after ending his loan deal with Division One side FC Linkopings.
According to reports, Omalla’s difficult start to life in Sweden was made worse by Linkopings’ coach decision to play him out of position.
The ex-Western Stima man was fielded at right-back and midfield yet he is naturally a striker.
Now back home with his parent club Gor Mahia, Omalla has stated that he is ready to pick it up again.
He already hit the ground running with Gor Mahia having trained with the club for two days since returning from Sweden. The striker has stated that he will get back to his best.
“I am back… I have picked my lessons and l will strategize on how well to build my football career. People will talk but let them talk – I have read / heard a lot about my return, some of which are just created stories but am calm and focused,” Omalla told Gor’s official website.
“I will keep working hard and I am keen on helping my team to do well. There are a good number of matches remaining in the season and my target is to score goals and help the team achieve the best” he added.
Omala signed a six-month loan deal with FC Linkopings with the deal set to run a until December 2021.
