Defending Tanzanian champions Simba SC have responded to various reports linked towering Kenyan defender Joash Onyango with a move away from the club.
Joash has been in great form since signing for the Wekundu wa Msimbazi with his performances in the CAF Champions league earning him plaudits from fans and pundits.
With this, there have been reports across various African football media outlets linking him with a move to South African side Orlando Pirates.
A member of the Simba Board of directors has now stated that no offer has been received for Joash and that there has been no official communication between Simba and Pirates.
Speaking to the Soccer Laduma , Mulamu Nghambi said: “I don’t know of any official communication from Orlando Pirates. So, I can’t comment on anything because we don’t have any official communication and it’s rumours”.
“Because our team is playing well in the Champions League there’s a lot of rumours all over Africa about our players. There isn’t any concrete official communication from any club,” he added.
