Brewers Tusker FC continued their march to the FKFPL title with a well deserved 2-0 win over AFC Leopards at the Thika Sub County Stadium on Friday.
Tusker took the lead in the 16th minute through Chris Ochieng who took advantage of a great delivery from a freekick by Brian Marita to find the back of the net.
The Matano coached side then doubled their lead in the second half (52) through a Chrispinus Onyango who pounced on a rebound from a Jackson Macharia shot after it was saved by Ingwe’s Ezekiel Owade to score and in the process solidify Tusker’s title hunt.
With the win, Tusker ended a bad run of results against Leopards. Ingwe beat the Brewers 2-1 in the first round meeting and also eliminated them from the FKF Shield Cup after a 1-0 win.
Tusker are now seven points clear at the summit of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
