What next for former Gor Mahia Striker Dennis Oliech? This is the question a number of football lovers have been asking following Kogallo’s decision to prematurely terminate Oliech’s two year contract.

Gor Mahia terminated Oliech’s contract over what the club termed as ‘gross misconduct and poor performances’.

Well, it now looks like Oliech is ready to spit on the face of the Green army if the latest set of information doing rounds is anything to go by. The former Aj Auxxere man is reportedly ready to join Gor Mahia’s fierce rivals AFC Leopards.

Oliech has refused to rule out a move to the den even as he ponders his next move after his unceremonious exit from Gor.

“I still have like three years to play active football and I have various options. I can even join AFC Leopards. I have no problem with that,” Said Oliech as quoted by the People Daily.

The AFC Leopards management led by Chairman Dan Shikanda have not ruled out a move for Oliech. The Club has confirmed that it is open to signing Oliech as long as he will prove to be of great value to the Club.

“A club can sign anyone. We are looking at a number of options and he is among the players now available in the market. We hope to have finalised our list by tomorrow (today) afternoon when the transfer window closes,” said Shikanda.

On Oliech’s huge salary demands, Shikanda said that as long as Ingwe will deem the striker important, they will go for him but after looking at the wage bill.

“We cannot sign anyone before looking at the wage bill. If we deem a player important and we think we can afford him, we will go for him,” he added.

Should Oliech join AFC Leopards, he will add on to the list of a number of players who donned both the Gor and AFC Leopards Jersey. They include, Dan Shikanda, John ‘Zangi’ Okello, George Sunguti, Joseph Atitwa and Paul Ochieng.

Oliech joined Gor Mahia in January 2018 and went on to score 5 goals for the defending Kenyan Champions. He also scored in the CAF confederations cup against Zamaleck SC.
