Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards has joined Kenyans in mourning the loss of veteran actor Charles Bukeko better known as Papa Shirandula.
Papa died on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment at Karen Hospital in Nairobi.
According to his brother in law Ronald Wanyama, he was rushed to the hospital after he experienced difficulty in breathing.
Papa was a die hard AFC Leopards fan and a lover of local football.
Describing him as a super fan, a statement from AFC Leopards read:
“We are sad to learn about the sudden death of our super fan and member Charles Bukeko
Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends . Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this trying moment.
Rest In Peace PAPA SHIRANDULA”.
Other KPL sides also issued various statements across their social media pages following the loss of Papa.
