AFC Leopards began their Betking Premier League campaign on a positive note after beating brewers Tusker FC 2-1 at the Moi Sports Center Kasarani.

Ingwe sparkled from the start but went down in the 22nd Minute through a David Majak goal for Tusker.

The Leopards responded almost immediately through captain Robinson Kamura.

They then got the lead through a Elvis Rupia penalty in the 34th minute.

That Rupia goal was enough to give Ingwe the win and end their run of poor results in opening fixtures of the topflight league.

Last season, Leopards went down 1-0 against Kakamega Homeboyz.

Elsewhere, dockers Bandari FC beat Sofapaka FC 1-0 at the Mbaraki Stadium.

Bandari scored through Hassan Abdallah in the 20th minute.
