Arsenal went down 3-2 against Championship side Brentford FC in their second friendly ahead of the restart of the English Premier League season.

The Bees came from behind twice to win the well-contested friendly match at The Emirates Stadium.

Joe Willock opened the scoring for Arsenal and Alexandre Lacazette added a second for the Premier League side moments after a Tariqe Fosu goal had levelled it up for The Bees. But Brentford battled back. Halil Dervişoğlu equalised and Shandon Baptiste scored the winner in the dying moments.

With Brentford having not played opposition since the start of March, the game was used as preparation for the resumption of the Sky Bet Championship season after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Bees face Fulham ten days from now while Arsenal have a trip to Manchester City in the Premier League three days earlier.
