FA Cup winners Arsenal are out to boost their squad ahead of the new season and have now turned their attention to championship side Brentford for star duo Saïd Benrahma and David Raya.

Having lost the Championship play-off to Fulham last month, Brentford, also known as the Bees are willing to listen to offers for their star players should their valuations be met.

Raya is being targeted as a potential replacement for Emiliano Martinez, while 25-year-old Benrahma has also been recommended after a number of standout performances during the 2019/20 season.

Benrahma was outstanding in the second tier last season, prompting interest from fellow Premier League quintet Chelsea, West Ham, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Leeds.

The 25-year-old only moved to England from Nice in 2018, but registered 27 goal involvements last term – making up one third of the Bees’ feared ‘BMW’ frontline, alongside Bryan Mbeumo and Ollie Watkins.

The two players are believed to have been recommended to Mikel Arteta by head of set pieces Andreas Georgson and goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana all who joined his staff from Brentford.
