KPL side Bandari FC carried it’s fine form in the CAF Confederations Cup into the Premier League with a well deserved 3-2 win over Kericho based side Zoo FC at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa.

Fresh from beating Tunisian Side US Ben Guerdane, Bandari showed no signs of fatigue despite going down in the 15th minute courtesy of a smart Collins Neto finish for Zoo after a great counter attack.

Neto was again the man to give Zoo a two goal lead courtesy of another swift counter attack from the men from Kericho. The ball took three touches to get into the Bandari United penalty area where Collins Neto was in the right place at the right time to apply yet another finish.

Zoo went into the break with a two-goal lead but could not hold on to their lead as Bandari rained havoc in the second half.

The dockers were able to pull one back at the start of the second half through Danson Namasaka and before the dust could settle on that goal, they were rewarded with another goal courtesy of Yema Mwana who took advantage of a mistake from the Zoo Kericho defenders to score Bandari’s second.

It was Mohammed Katana alias Messi Agege who ensured that Bandari took home all the three points with a League debut to remember for the youngster.

Minutes after coming on, Agege curled in a superb left-footed shot that sailed into the net to complete a second half comeback for Bernard Mwalala’s team.

Bandari went on to win 3-2 at the expense of Zoo FC. The win sees the Coastal based side rise to 4th on the table on 4 points while Zoo is 7th on 3 points after beating Chemelil Sugar 3-1 in it’s first match of the season.
