Sofapaka’s Lawrence Juma scored a hat-trick to help his side beat slum boys Mathare United in a Betking Premier League match played at the Wundayi stadium.

Juma first scored in the 11th minute before Nixon Omondi doubled Batoto Ba Mungu’s lead in the 13th minute.

Juma got his second of the game from a good volley in the 18th minute.

Sofapaka had the chance to make it 4-0 from the penalty spot after Mathare’s werunga handled the ball but Achesa missed his spot kick.

In the second half, Mathare tried to stage a comeback and got two goals to show for it.

Daniel Otieno pulled one back in the 71st minute before Chris Oduor got the second with just 7 minutes of normal play time left.

It was however not Mathare’s day as Lawrence Juma ensured the three points were all Sofapaka’s when he got his third goal in extra time.

Elsewhere, Zoo Kericho snatched a point when they faced dockers Bandari FC at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Bandari took the lead through William Wadri in the 22nd minute but Zoo ensured they went back to Kericho with a point courtesy of Ggolola who found the back of the net in the 66th minute.

Bankers KCB remain top of the league standings and continued their unbeaten run after seeing off Bidco United by a solitary goal.

KCB scored through Reagan Otieno in the 48th minute.
