Kenyan Premier League side Wazito FC have confirmed the sacking of head coach Francis Kimanzi and his entire technical staff.

Wazito are struggling this season and sit second bottom from the relegation threaten zone after winning just 2 of their 13 outings this season.

In a statement released by the club Thursday morning, Wazito said that Francis Kimanzi and his assistant John Kamau will be leaving the club together with goalkeepers’ trainer Samuel Koko as youth team coach Fred Ambani taking over the role as an interim coach.

Wazito in a statement: “We can confirm that head coach Francis Kimanzi, his assistants Jeff Odongo, John Kamau, and the goalkeepers’ coach Samuel Koko have left the club. We wish them well in their future endeavours.

“Youth team head coach Fred Ambani assumes first-team duties in the interim with immediate effect,” statement added.

Francis Kimanzi joined the FKF Premier club [Wazito FC] in November 2020 after he resigned as Harambee Stars head coach after Wazito sacked Fred Ambani, assistant Salim Babu, and goalkeeper trainer Elias Otieno.
