The Stallion Ladies of Burkina Faso have rejected the 600, 000 francs {$950} from the Burkina Faso Ministry of Sports.

The Burkina Faso Ministry in charge of Sports proposes to give each player of the national team before their departure 600, 000 francs {$950} for the Women’s AFCON Morocco 2022.

According to information relayed by several media, the 600, 000 {$950} represents the qualification bonus of 300, 000 {$482} the regrouping bonus of 100, 000 {$161} and the WAFCON participation of 200, 000 francs {$321}.

The reports say, the proposal was kicked against by the girls, who demanded respect after having fought for the country to qualify for the first Women’s AFCON in its history by eliminating Guinea Bissau and Benin and playing all games away from home, for lack of approved stadium.

Apart from the bonus saga, the preparation of the Burkina Faso girls has taken place in very difficult conditions with friendly matches negotiated by the coach himself against other teams like Senegal who played Cameroon and Guinea Bissau and playing a final warm-up match in Tunisia before heading to Morocco were cancelled.
