Ehab Galal has been thrown out as the coach of Egyptian national football team after just two months in charge.

Galal has reportedly been sacked as the Pharaohs head coach with Mohamed Salah and his teammates said to be stunned when they heard about the development.

An interview he conducted on national television is said to have led to his sacking as those in charge of football in Egypt are now looking for a new coach.

Egypt have not enjoyed a great run of results, having recently lost against Ethiopia 2-0 before they were also beaten 4-1 by South Korea.

Gamal Allam who is the head of the Egyptian FA has disclosed that they are now looking for another coach.

“We are looking to correct our mistake.

“I asked the man in charge of money at the federation whether we had dollars in the safe to pay for another foreign coach. He told we didn’t.

“We chose an Egyptian coach because of the country’s economic situation and the rising value of the dollar.”

Gamal Allam and his team now hope to hire a new coach before their next game against Malawi in September in 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
