Juventus have made a decision to sack their manager Maurizio Sarri. The writing of Sarri’s firing was on the wall after his side lost to Olympique Lyon in the round of 16 on away goals.

The former Chelsea boss joined Juventus last summer in a bid to help the club’s stalled progression in the UEFA Champions League. He won the Serie A title but lost to Lazio in the Supercoppa Italiana and to Napoli in the Coppa Italia.

The club is set to issue a formal statement later in the day.
