National Super League side Nairobi Stima has terminated the contracts of all its players. The moves comes just weeks after Kenya Power Company (KPLC) ended its sponsorship deal with the side.

Apart from Nairobi Stima, KPL side Western Stima and NSL side Coast Stima also had their sponsorship deals terminated.

While terminating the sponsorship deals, KPLC cited low revenue returns on its business due to the negative effects of coronavirus pandemic as the main reason behind their move.

Nairobi Stima were fourth on the NSL standings with 35 points.

Back in 2019, Stima finished third and qualified for the promotion/relegation playoff, but lost to Posta Rangers 3–2 on aggregate and remained in the second division.

Nairobi Stima only lost two league matches that year, but missed out on promotion by goal difference to Kisumu All Stars.

The club’s management is yet to reveal its next move.
