The Football Kenya Federation Transition Committee has announced new season commencement date.

The 13-member FKF Committee was set up after a Special General Meeting {SGM} met at the Kasarani Stadium earlier this month.

The 2022/23 FKF leagues season will kick-off by the end of August, the 13-member committee put up together on June 11, announced.

According to Nation Sport, the committee, in a meeting last week, confirmed August 27 as the date for the new campaign to commence, with the Women Premier League, and the FKF Division One League set to kick-off a week later.

However, the dates set are tentative as they will have to wait for the National Super League {NSL} as well as the promotion play-offs to end so as to confirm the exact commencement date, according to the committee’s Chairman and FKF Murang’a branch Chairman Robert Macharia.

The 2022/23 season fixtures are set to be released in mid-July and the top-flight will be run by an independent body according to the committee’s Secretary, Amos Otieno.

The FKF Transition Committee’s office tenure is set to stretch all the way to mid-August.
