FKF Premier League giants Gor Mahia FC are set to appoint former Uganda Cranes Head Coach Sebastian Desabre.

Gor is currently without a head coach after partying ways with Belgian tactician Andreas Spiers last month but with the 2022/23 season set to commence soon, K’Ogalo need to find a head coach to lead the team as they seek to reclaim their lost glory from Tusker FC.

According to reports on Goal, Desabre who led Uganda Cranes in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] is the favourite to land the job despite a few names having shown interest in taking over Kenya Premier League record champions.

Desabre not a new name in African football is said to be having something unique that puts him as the top candidate for the job having been in charge of Ivory Coast ASEC Mimosas, Esperance of Tunisia, Coton Sport of Cameroon, Algeria’s JS Saoura, current African giants Wydad Athletic Club and Ismaily of Egypt.

The French tactician was in charge of Uganda Cranes between 2017 and 2019 when he left and were eliminated by Senegal in the Round of 16 in the 2019 AFCON tournament.
