Weeks after former assistant head coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno resigned from his position, Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia have appointed Patrick Odhiambo to replace him.
The immediate former Sony Sugar Head Coach has joined Kogallo on a two year contract.
Odhiambo will now join hands with head coach Hassan Oktay to help stear the Kogallo ship to Glory as the team aims to retain the KPL title and also put up a good show in it’s continental assignments.
Gor Mahia currently has it’s sight set on the upcoming CECAFA Club Championships.
Confirming Odhiambo’s appointment, Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose Rachier welcomed the highly rated tactician and wished him well as he takes over from Zico.
“We are very happy that he agreed to join us at Gor Mahia and hope to reach greater heights together. He is a qualified and capable coach and we were impressed by the work he as done elsewhere so among he many coaches who were interested in the job we settled on him,” said Rachier
Odhiambo has had spells at Chemelil Sugar and Agro Chemicals both as Head Coach.
He has also served as assistant coach at Western Stima and Muhoroni Youth fc.
