A section of Gor Mahia fans, on Wednesday surprised the team with winning allowances following last weekends heroics in the CAF Champions League.

The fans visited the players at their training ground in Two Rivers and presented a Ksh 203,000 winning bonus.

The club said the money was drawn from the Gor Mahia Augmentin Fund (GMAF) and will come as a huge motivation for the team following their dramatic 3-1 win over APR of Rwanda.

“Today, fans under the umbrella of GMAF (Gor Mahia Augmentin Fund) presented a winning allowance of Sh203,000 to the team at training ground following Saturday’s big win over APR of Rwanda in CAF preliminary tie at Nyayo stadium,” Gor said in a statement.

The club needed two injury time goals to seal qualification to the first round of CAF Champions League qualifications.

K’ogallo needs to overcome Algerian side CR Belouizdad in a two legged tie to secure a place in the lucrative CAF Champions League Group stages.

Captain Kenneth Muguna says the team is focused in training and ready for tasks ahead.

“Our focus is to train well and make sure we are prepared for any assignment… We have league matches and CAF fixtures so, we will take each game at a time,” Muguna said.

Meanwhile, Gor stand-in coach Sammy Pamzo Omollo has said he is willing to continue taking charge of the club’s continental matches as long as K’ogallo officials reach an agreement with Posta Rangers.

Pamzo resumed his duties at Posta this week.
