Record Kenyan Champions Gor Mahia have signed creative midfielder Austin Otieno Odhiambo from rivals AFC Leopards.

Odhiambo has signed a two-year deal with K’Ogallo.

“Attacking midfielder Austin Odhiambo, formerly of AFC Leopards signs a two-year deal to be part of us” read an official statement by Gor Mahia.

The highly rated midfielder was reported to be closing in on a move to Bandari FC but has now decided to continue his career at Gor Mahia after failing to agree on a number of things with the dockers.

“Austine was ready to join Bandari. He trained with the team for over a week but the team just couldn’t meet his requests before putting pen to paper. Gor Mahia on the other hand have always been interested in the player and they got to an agreement very fast. He is happy and looking forward to kicking off his Gor Mahia journey” said a source close to the player as quoted by Mozzart sports.

He joins Yusuf Mainge in jumping ship from Leopards to Gor.
