The gruesome murder of dutch Tycoon Tob Cohen is one which continues to draw mixed reactions not just among Kenyans but from different parts of the world especially in the Netherlands where the renowned businessman was born.

Cohen was not just a succesful tour operator and golfer but was also a lover of sports and especially football if the latest set of information doing rounds is anything to go by. He was a Gor Mahia fan.

A Newspaper excerpt dating back to 1990 has emerged showing the Late Cohen donating football jerseys to 18 time Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia.

A Picture of Tob Cohen, who was at that time Philips East Africa Chairman and Director handing over uniforms to then Kogallo’s interim Secretary Leslie Okudo has been doing rounds on the internet with a number of Gor Mahia fans pleased with the great gesture Cohen showed towards their beloved club.

Also present as Cohen handed over the uniforms to Gor Mahia was the then Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Regional Development, Daniel Mboya.

The Late Cohen will be laid to rest on Monday according to the Jewish customs after his enstranged wife Sarah Wairimu together with his (Cohen) family agreed to finally bury him after a protracted legal battle on the same.

His Lifeless body was found on Friday 13th September in a septic tank at his home in Kitisuru, Spring Valley, Nairobi.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia will host Bankers KCB in a Kenya Premier League Match at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday with Kogallo looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat at the hands of USM Alger in a CAF Champions League match. Gor went down 4-1 at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Algeria and now face an uphill task of breaking into the monied stages of the Champions League.
