According to reports from Ghana, it is revealed that Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi met with Chris Hughton at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Sunday.

Hudson-Odoi, who has represented England at senior level can still switch citizenship due to the new FIFA rules.

Having exploded onto the scene after helping the England U17 team to World Cup victory, the Blues star earned his senior national team call up after impressing with the Premier League giants.

However, injuries affected his first team apperances at Stamford Bridge forcing the 21-year-old to miss Euro 2020, after he was not included in Gareth Southgate’s team.

Since then Hudson-Odoi has found it hard to get back into the English team and has twice rejected an England U21 call up.

The winger has been in Ghana twice in the last year, arriving in the summer for holidays before his latest return a week ago.

Incoming Black Stars caoch Chris Hughton met with Odoi’s father Bismark Odoi at Labadi Beach and it is reported the two discussed ways to convince the player to represent Ghana.

According to Bismark Odoi, his son is willing to play for the Black Stars. The player was in Ghana for vacation for a week.

The Ghana FA also met with the Chelsea star and he is eligible to play for the Black Stars because he has not played more than three games for England.
