Kenyan Foward Michael Olunga is a man out to prove to the entire continent that Kenya still got what it takes to win matches at the grandest stages of them all.
Olunga was part of the Kenyan team that fell 2-0 to Algeria in their opening match.
Kenya put up a shambolic display especially in the first half with no clear chances created for the talismanic foward to make attempts at goal.
Kenya has now shifted their attention to the upcoming match against Tanzania and have promised to give their all so as to get the desired results.
Ahead of the game, Olunga has admitted that it won’t be easy, but promised a more inspired show from his teammates.
“It will be a very tough game. We know them and they as well know us. Both of us lost our first matches with the same margin so stakes will be high,” said Olunga.
“We have three points to fight for and we are going to give our best since tomorrow’s result will define our progress in the competition,” he added.
Kenya and Tanzania take on each other in a highly anticipated East African Derby this Thursday, July 27, at the 30 June Stadium starting 11 pm EAT.
