Harambee Stars midfielder Francis Kahata has parted ways with Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

Kahata signed for Simba on July, 4th 2019 but was reduced to a part time player by the ‘Wekundu wa Msimbazi’ towards the end of his two year contract. He only turned out for the club in continental assignments after being freezed out of the League squad.

With Simba eliminated at the Quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League by Kaizer Chiefs, there is nothing left for Kahata to do at the club and with the club not handing him a new contract, he has decided to ponder on his next move.

Kahata won the league title, the Community Shield and the Tanzania Cup with Simba.

“We have been negotiating with the Simba management and have reached an agreement to part ways at the expiry of my contract,” said Kahata as quoted by Goal.

“After being omitted from the league and Tanzania Cup squad, my main assignment was in the Champions League. After we were eliminated, it means I will not be playing any competitive match for Simba; they will settle my dues for the remainder of my contract.

“I appreciate the chance to play for them and what we have achieved together.”

Kahata has been linked with moves to Sudan, Zambia and South Africa.
