Kakamega Homeboyz saw off Wazito FC 2-4 in a Kenya Premier League Clash played at the Machakos Stadium.

Homeboyz took the lead in the first half through Kennedy Onyango who rose highest to head home from a freekick in the 35th minute. There were no signs of Nicholas Muyoti’s men slowing down anytime soon as they got a second goal two minutes later courtesy of Peter Thiong’o who smashed home from inside the Penalty area.

Wazito’s woes were piled in the 43rd minute when Thiong’o grabbed his brace yet with another finish from inside the Penalty area.

With three goals in the first half, Kakamega Homeboyz went into the break in control of proceedings at the Machakos Stadium.

The Second half saw Wazito try to make a comeback as they did last time out against Mathare United. It paid off with Johnstone Omurwa pulling one back for the Ricardo Badoer owned side in the 53rd Minute.

Wazito’s technical bench then rang the changes in the 55th minute with Elvis Rupia and Ali Hassan all being introduced in the places of Teddy Osok and Victor Ndinya. Joe Waithira also came on for Derrick Onyango in the 63rd Minute.

Elvis Rupia announced his arrival with a strike that hit the crossbar. Wazito kept on pushing for another goal but Homeboyz were hearing none of that. The Kakamega based side got a fourth, this time through Captain Allan Wanga who scored in the 70th Minute.

Coach Ambani’s boys also managed to get a second through Johnstone Omurwa in the 85th Minute. Their upped game in the second half did not however bear any fruits as Homeboyz took home all the three points.

With the Saturday result, Wazito FC have only won 1 of their first 6 KPL games while Kakamega Homeboyz have won 3.
