Fortune Sacco FC striker Stephen Onyango is set for FKF Premier League return next season after joining KCB FC.

After joining KCB in 2018, the striker was released by the Bankers without making single appearance in the top flight in January 2020 after failing to impress head coach Zedekiah Otieno.

The former Kenya Police FC forward scored 20 goals for Fortune Sacco during the 2018/19 season emerging second best goalscorers.

Kirinyaga-based side earned automatic top flight promotion after finishing second behind 2021/22 National Super League [NSL] APS Bomet who were crowned champions.

They hammered Murang’a Seal FC to escape second-legged play-offs slated this weekend between Wazito FC and Seal FC where the overall winner will feature in the top flight football next season.

In an interview with Mozzart Sport, determined Onyango says he is eager to make KCB return and can’t wait to make his league debut in an attempt to help the Bankers compete for the title.

“I have unfinished business in the top flight. I am coming back to the top level a stronger and a mature player who wants to prove that he is capable of scoring goals for fun. I want to make this second chance count and most importantly, help the team attain its targets,” he said.
