KCB FC winger James Mazembe set to resume training after more than two months after picking a knee injury in the mid-stage of the 2021/22 campaign.

Mazembe suffered a knee ligaments damage in training and has since been sidelined for more than two months.

The former Kariobangi Sharks wing wizard is currently under rehabilitation before fully joining team’s full training as the Bankers prepare for the new season as quoted by Mozzart Sport.

“I had a knee ligament injury that I suffered in training with 10 games left until the end of last season and that is why I missed a number of games towards the end of last season. I’m continuing with my rehabilitation and hopefully in a few days I will resume training with the team,” he said.

Despite ligaments damage, the former Sharks man was very lucky to not undergone knife surgery.

“The doctor gave a number of weeks after suffering the injury to see whether I will surgery or not and thankful the injury has now healed without having to undergone surgery. I’m going for an appointment with the doctor in a few days time and hopefully I will be cleared to commence light training with the team,” he concluded.
