Former Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr has denied reports that he is set to take over as Wazito FC’s head coach.

Reports have been rife across football circles that Kerr was one of the people being considered as coach Fred Ambani’s replacement days after the coach together with Technical Director Stanley Okumbi were shown the door.

Wazito are looking for a replacement to help turn things around at the club and Kerr has been rumoured to be one of the candidates.

Apart from Kerr, former Sofapaka head coach Melis Medo is also on the lips of Wazito FC’s owners and he is said to be the leading contender for the vacant position.

“I have not spoken to anyone on my return to coaching, whether from [Wazito] or any other team,” Said Kerr when asked about potentially taking over at the Badoer Investments owned side.

“If I get a decent move or offer I will definitely tell you,” added Kerr who confirmed he is ready to return to the dugout.

The former Black Leopards Coach took a sabbatical leave from management to take care of his ailing mother who later passed away.

Meanwhile, sources within the Wazito FC camp have confirmed that a new coach will be unveiled on Thursday. This as the club prepares to take on Posta Rangers in their next KPL match at the Narok Stadium.

The Match will kick off at 2PM on Sunday.
