KPL moneybags Wazito FC have confirmed the signing of Harambee Stars and Vihiga United defender Bernard Ochieng.

Ochieng’s move is expected to help bolster Wazito’s defence as the team prepares for a return to the Kenya Premier League.

The highly rated defender who recently represented Kenya at the Africa Cup of Nations has penned a long term contract with the Badoer Investments owned side.

“It is great to sign here. This is a club I have admired in how it manages its affairs and it is a good feeling to be worthy of playing for it”, Said Ochieng after putting pen to paper.

Ochieng , together with Wazito FC captain Dennis Gicheru and Lloyd Wahome will now bear the task of keeping attackers at bay.

Wazito’s Sporting Director Solomon Alubala admitted that he has monitored Ochieng’s progress for sometime now and that this was the right time to join the KPL newbies.

“I have wanted to sign Bernard Ochieng’ for sometime now, I guess patience pays and this is the right moment to have him darn our jersey”, he said.

Ochieng becomes the sixth player to join Wazito this transfer window after Joshua Nyatini, Kevin Omondi, Derrick Otanga, Bixente Otieno and Gad Matthews.
