AFC Leopards silenced ambitious Kenya Police in Sunday FKF Premier League action at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Victor Omune opened the scoring in the 18th minute before captain Eugene Mukangula doubled the lead to give Leopards a 2-0 lead heading into the break.

John Mark Makwatta dramatically scored against his former employees, acrobatically connecting Cliff Nyakeya’s cross to seal the victory for Leopards who climbed to ninth on thee log with 31 points as the law enforcers dropped to eleventh, stuck on 28 points.

Posta Rangers and Kariobangi Sharks registered identical 2-1 victories over bottom of the table Mathare United and Bidco United respectively as FC Talanta and Sofapaka settled for a barren draw.

Meanwhile, Timothy Otieno scored twice for Posta Rangers while 2008 champions Mathare United got their consolation goal from Austin Ochieng.

Erick Mmata’s brace secured the victory for K. Sharks while Bidco got their consolation goal through Stephen Waruru.

Nzoia Sugar were also held scoreless by second from bottom Vihiga Bullets in Bungoma.
