Manchester United are reportedly plotting Ousmane Dembele move this month after the French winger defied new Barcelona contract offer.

The 24-year-old is set to part ways with Barcelona following a breakdown in contract renewal negotiations forcing Xavi to axe Dembele against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.

The winger’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and Barcelona have reportedly informed Dembele to leave the club with immediate effect after rejecting their latest contract proposal.

According to SPORT, Manchester United are willing to land Dembele this month but under one condition ‘United are not prepared to pay a transfer fee’.

The Catalan club are ready to part ways with Dembele and Manchester United and Newcastle United are the two latest clubs to show interest in Dembele.

However, the winger is expected to have multiple suitors this month and he is in no rush to join either Man United or Newcastle United, with European giants likes of Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Munich all said to be interested in snatching his signature.

Former Borussia Dortmund winger has only made six appearances this season and has recorded two assists.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has struggled with injuries throughout his spell at Nou Camp, having made only 130 appearances across all competitions since joining the Catalan club in 2017.

Manchester United are under pressure to bolster their attacking front as the Red Devils expect Anthony Martial to depart this month. Spanish La Liga side Sevilla are reportedly interested in bringing in the France forward on loan but Manchester United want a permanent deal.
