Nairobi City Stars have confirmed the signing of defensive midfielder Sven Yidah on a two-year deal from Kariobangi Sharks.

Yidah is City Stars’ second senior signing after that of striker Erick Ombija.

While at Sharks, Yidah made 97 KPL appearances.

He will don jersey no. 18 at City Stars just like he did with Sharks.

“I am happy to join Nairobi City Stars. They have an ambitious project and I am eager to play a part in making it a success” he said after his unveiling.

Yidah also revealed that his former teammates (Ebrima) Sanneh, Shittu (Salim Abdalla) and Wycliffe (Otieno) also played a huge role in convincing him to join the project at City Stars.

Apart from Yidah and Ombija, City Stars have also signed youngsters Rowland Makati from Vapor Sports, Timothy Ouma from Laiser Hill Academy, Ronney Kola Oyaro from Kenya School of Government (KSG) and keeper Elvis Ochieng Ochoro from Hakati Sportiff, all roped in as developmental players.
