According to Algeria publication DZfoot, the world football governing body, FIFA has dismissed the petition filed by the Algerian Football Federation over the World Cup 2022 playoffs return leg against Cameroon which took place on March 29, 2022, in Blida.

While there is total silence on the side of the Algeria FA the day after the publication of a press release reporting response from FIFA, Algeria’s federation said they had a confirmation from the latter that the Algeria – Cameroon file has completely been closed.

The announcement was made through a dispatch broadcast on Saturday afternoon that the French Agency claimed to have had a confirmation email from FIFA had received answers concerning the two petitions sent to the FIFA disciplinary committee and that of the referee’s commission and that it considered that  the files have been closed.

Algeria earlier received a response from FIFA Referee Committee that Algeria won’t be getting a replay as the game was officiated by the rules of the game without interference.
