Kenyan striker Michael Olunga was in action for his new side Al Duhail SC in a Qatar Stars League match as they faced league leaders Al Sadd.
Olunga was in action for 65 minutes but could not find the back of the net on his debut as his new side went down 3-1 at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium.
It was Algeria’s Baghdad Bounedjah that run the show for the Xavi coached Al Sadd with a hat-trick.
It was a bright start for Al Duhail as they took an early lead from the spot in the 6th minute. The lead did not last long with Bounedjah drawing Al Sadd level in the 14th minute. He then got his 14th and 15th goals of the season in the 50th and 87th minute to cement Al Sadd’s lead at the top of the Qatar Stars League.
With this victory, the Al Sadd remains top of the League with 38 points and Al Duhail remains second on 27 points.
