Kenyan Striker Michael Olunga continued his red-hot form with another goal to help his Kashiwa Reysol side overcame Antlers in a 4-1 victory.
It was goal number 25 for the Harambee Stars forward as he continues his quest to win the J League one golden boot.
However, the goals will not be enough to propel Reysol to a league title which has been officially won by Kawasaki Frontale.
Frontale won the league with a five star perfomance against Gamba Osaka.
Olunga and Reysol still have a chance to go high the table if they win their two matches in hand.
The team was forced to go into isolation after their camp reported six COVID-19 cases in October. This meant that some of their matches were postponed.
The COVID-19 cases also meant tha Olunga missed Harambee Stars double Afcon qualifiers against Comoros. Kenya dimmed its chances of qualifying for a second successive AFCON appearance after drawing at home and losing away.
