J. League 1 side Kashiwa Reysol has officially confirmed the departure of striker Michael Olunga.

The harambee Stars hit man has joined Qatar side Al Duhail SC and has already made his debut as the side takes on giants Al Sadd.

“We are pleased to inform you that Olunga has been completely transferred to Al-Duhail SC (Qatar)” Read a statement from Kashiwa’s official website.

At the time of this publication, Olunga’s new side was leading thanks to a goal from A. Ali in the 6th minute.

Kashiwa thanked Olunga for his great service.

Olunga also had a message for the Kashiwa fans.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the fans of Kashiwa Reysol for their support. I really enjoyed my time at a wonderful club called Reysol. I hope that this club can develop even more in the future, and I hope that it will be successful in the upcoming tournament.
